Mixed and Improper Fraction

Here are the steps to convert improper fractions to a mixed fraction:
E.g. 9/4
1) See how many times can 4 go into 9. 4 can go into 9 2 times.
2)4x2=8. 8 is still not enough so you check how many is left when you deduct 9 to 8.
3) It equals 1. 1 becomes your numerator and 2 becomes your whole number
4) Keep the same denominator which is 4
5) The answer is 2 and 1/4

Here are the steps to convert mixed fractions to improper fraction:
E.g. 5 and 3/4
1) Multiply the denominator to the whole number. 4x5=20
2) 20+ the numerator. 20+3=23
3) Keep the same denominator.
4) Your final answer is 23/4
